About Us
Taunton Fire Protection Services was formed in 2000 by its
current proprietor, who, having served in the fire protection
unit of Somerset Fire Brigade and some time in an
independent company, decided
to bring the values of service
with low cost to his own business.
Essentially still a family run business, Taunton Fire Protection
Services is pleased to supply its service to schools both in the
private and state sector, care homes, factories, offices, private
landlords, housing associations as well as many small
businesses.
Services provided include fire extinguisher maintenance and supply, fire alarm maintenance and installation, portable appliance testing and bespoke alarms such as external door alarms on the boarding houses of an independent school and radio linked plant alarms at a large food production factory.
We are pleased to supply a specialist service to Somerset Fire and Rescue Service in the form of Electric Blanket Testing. We also have been pleased to have been the installers of smoke alarms for the deaf and hard of hearing on behalf of the Community Safety Department of Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Although based in Taunton Somerset, we service contracts throughout all the South West and currently have service contracts in Keynsham, Woolverton, Frome, Bristol and Plymouth.
Engineers hold FETA, BFPSA, and City and Guilds qualifications as well as attending manufacturer courses.
We are ISO 9001 (2001) registered for the installation, service and supply of portable fire extinguishers and alarms. This reflects and ensures the quality of our services.
